Production Planning Specialist (m/f/d) - 2 years limited contract

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sibiu on a 2-years fixed-term contract. Remote work is not available for this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal production planning, balancing customer demands with production capacity, and supporting the achievement of delivery and inventory targets.

• Develop and maintain production plans, based on customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.  
• Analyze customer requirements and ensure their timely translation into production schedules. 
• Ensure material availability for production in close cooperation with the Material Planning team. 
• Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks in production for short or long term. 
• Proactively identify capacity constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks, and coordinate mitigation actions. 
• Coordinate with Production, Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service teams to ensure on-time deliveries 
• Support new product launches, engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out activities from a production planning perspective. 
• Monitor inventory levels and contribute to inventory optimization initiatives. 
• Track key planning KPIs and support continuous improvement activities. 
• Maintain system data accuracy in SAP and other internal tools. 
• Contribute to the optimization of planning processes, SAP master data, and planning parameters.  

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• University degree 
• Fluent in English 
• Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel) and experience with ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus) 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate activities across multiple departments 
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, adaptability and resilience under pressure
